International Webinar Series of 5th INDORHINO Managing The Growing Burden of Sinonasal Disease In the Face of Air Pollutants and Global Climate Change 27 July, 3 August, 10 August 2024

Introduction

Health workers and policymakers urgently need to prioritize the escalating incidence of sinonasal disease, a direct consequence of deteriorating air quality driven by pollutants and global warming. The associated decline in quality of life, manifested in smell problems, lower airway and lung complications under the United Airway Disease concept, and poor sleep quality due to nasal obstruction linked to sleep-disordered breathing/sleep apnea, underscores the pressing need for action.

Education is a powerful tool that plays a pivotal role in empowering health workers and the general public. It equips them with the knowledge and understanding of the intricate relationship between the environment and nose and sinus health, as well as respiratory health in general. This knowledge is not just important, but crucial for taking preventive steps and implementing appropriate therapy, making them feel empowered and knowledgeable.

The Rhinology Study Group Indonesia, ORL-HNS Department Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia – Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National Hospital, in collaboration with the Committee for Respiratory Disease Control and Air Pollution Impact Ministry of Health the Republic of Indonesia, will hold an educational program featuring esteemed International Speakers from Bulgaria, ASEAN countries and Australia -New Zealand in the International Webinar Series of 5th INDORHINO: Managing the Growing Burden of Sinonasal Disease in the Face of Air Pollutants and Global Climate Change.
